Our Post Holiday Party was a lot of fun! The food from Mueller’s was delicious, as well as all the scrumptious cupcakes and cookies by Gracelyn. Thank you Auxiliary for putting together a wonderful spread and the Lottery Stockings Raffles, won by Jerome Smith and George Wene.
American Legion Riders Post 950 collected Toys for Tots and took them to D’Ags on December 8, 2019
ALR Post 950 rode to the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Observance of Veterans Day, Monday, 11-11-2019. There were 5 Riders and 8 members escorted in the Limo provided by Chris.
ALR Chapter 950 Riegelsville Annual Picnic & Veteran Ride, Saturday, Septmber 28, 2019. Approximately 50 bikes from, Chapters 9 Brown & Lynch, 255 Nase-Kraft (Sellersville), 397 Hellertown, 317 Yardley, 415 Nazareth, Germantown, and Black River joined the Ride and Picnic. Lots of great donations from area business, TJ (Sellersville) won the High Poker hand of $100 and Rocky (Hellertown) won the Low Poker hand of $50. Kim Heckman won the 50/50 of ~$273. All of our cash winners donated the money back for the cause. We were able to donate $3500 to DOG T.A.G.S. THANK YOU EVERYONE!
ALR Chapter 950 Riegelsville joined Chapter 933 Hatfield Covered Bridge Ride on Saturday, September 21, 2019. There were 5 bikes and 4 passengers from Chapter 950 that joined Chapter 933 for a total of 30 bikes. It was a beautiful day to take a ride in the the Country.
Post 950 Installation of 2020 Officers was on Monday, September 9, 2019. Thank you Bill and Holly Douglass for hosting our installations.
ALR POST 950 had a “Dry Run” on Saturday, August 24, 2019, preparing for our Veteran’s Ride on Saturday, September 28, 2019. There were 8 bikes and 5 passengers. We stopped at D’Ags, Raven’s Nest and Hellertown Legion. It was a beautiful day for a ride!
ALR POST 950 attended the Palmerton Bike Fest on Saturday, August 10, 2019
ALR Post 950 attended Vicki Pennell’s (Rob Pennell’s wife) Memorial Service (10 riders and 4 passengers) in Wind Gap, PA. Then we went to Post 9’s Annaul Poker Run. (7 riders and 2 passengers from Post 950 participated in the ride.) It was a beautiful day for a great ride. A special Thanks to Kenny for leading us on this ride!
There were four stops: Post 353, Northampton; Post 899, Walnutport; Beltzville Bar & Grill, then Maggie’s Tavern in Saylorsburg. Finishing up the day at Post 9 for good food and music.
We had beautiful weather for the Parade and the Ceremony paid tribute to our Veterans who are no longer with us. God Bless our Veterans and their families.
American Legion Riders Post 950 Spring Ride, Saturday, May 18, 2019, was an awesome day! There were 52 bikes and approximately 25 passengers. The weather was perfect! 6 other Riders posts joined us: Palmer Post 9, Thanks Nazareth, Wind Gap and Roseto Legions for your hospitality! Wind Gap had a delicious buffet for lunch. Thank you everybody for a great day!

American Legion Post 950 hosted a St. Patty’s Day Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner on Saturday, March 16, 2019.

American Legion Post 950 Legionnaires and SALS present Girl Scout Troop 8030 with checks for a total of 150 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies for Operation Cookie Drop for our Troops, Saturday,02/23/2019 God Bless!
Our Soup & Chili Cook Off was a success! We had 10 crock pots of delicious soups and chili’s, more soups than chili’s this year. Everyone had a great time tasting all of them. The three lucky winners getting $25.00 were: 1st place: Wanda Swift for her Oyster Stew, 2nd place : Nicole Heiser for her Pulled Pork and 3rd: Jerome & Debbie Smith for their Dutch Country Bean Soup. Thank You Everyone who participated! Including those who helped set up and clean up!

On Sunday, October 7, 2018, the American Legion Post 950 Color Guard along with the a couple of Auxiliary members, SALS, and Riders, participated in the Opening Ceremony for the Out of Darkness Greater Lehigh Valley Walk. This was a fund raising event for Suicide Awareness and Prevention. “Every day in the United States, 22 veterans succumb to suicide — losing their personal battle to invisible wounds of war.” This walk was for all people who struggle with depression and suicide.

Thank you everyone for coming out and making this a very special event. We had approximately 75 guests including fellow riders from Hatfield Post 933, Souderton Post 234 , Hellertown Post 397 and Brown & Lynch, Post 9. We had lots of great prizes with lots of winners and a 50/50. We were able to present the DOG T.A.G.S. Program a check for $2300.00. We beat last years contribution!
ALR Post 242, Qakertown, hosted a great Poker Run on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Our Riders Post 950 and Riders from Palm and Sellersville also joined. We met at our home Post, then went to Quakertown. Stop #1 was D’Ags, Stop #2 was Post 950, Riegelsviille; Stop #3 was Silver Creek Social Club; Stop #4 was the Palm Post 184; then back to Post 242, Quakertown, for good food, music and Raffles. Everyone had a great time! Thank you Post 242 for a great ride and fun times!

American Legion Riders Post 950 had 8 bikes and 12 people that participated in Post 9’s Poker Run & Party. It was a beautiful day and a great ride! Fellow Post 9 Riders led us North to Post 899, Walnutport, PA; then to the Boatyard in Leighton, Joey B’s in Palmerton, Wind Gap Legion then back to Post 9 for food and drinks and great music. Thanks for a great day!
The Sons of the American Legion Post 950 2nd Annual Meat Raffle was again a great success. We raised over $2200 which is being donated to the Washington Crossing National Cemetery for Christmas Wreaths. Thanks everyone for participating and making this event very successful!
